Teeth in a Day - Same Day Dental Tempe AZ...

Tempe, Arizona cosmetic dentist Scott Connell DMD, offers simple, reliable and long-lasting dental restoration including tooth implants for patients of any age who are missing teeth or experiencing the frustrations of loose, decayed and broken teeth. This can be accomplished with the removal of one tooth or all the teeth. If you have unsightly or loose teeth, tooth decay, bone loss due to periodontal disease, loose fitting dentures or missing teeth, you may be a perfect candidate for dental implants.

Traditional dental implants take 3 months or more to heal before they can support regular use. With careful planning we can often replace a single tooth, several teeth, or a full mouth of teeth with remarkable comfort and aesthetics in just one day. With only a few exceptions, patients seeking a quick and permanent solution can leave the same day with a new smile. There is virtually no downtime after the tooth replacement. Patients can eat a light meal later the same day.

Our same day smile dental treatments are the clear choice in Tempe Arizona for dentures. Click here to visit our website or email us here.

Wisdom Teeth, Tempe AZ Dentist...

What are Wisdom Teeth?

Your mouth is made to hold only 28 teeth, on an average. It is painful when 32 teeth are trying to squeeze their way into an area designed to hold only 28. These four other teeth are called Third Molars, otherwise known as "wisdom teeth." Wisdom teeth are the last teeth to erupt within the back of the mouth usually during your late teen years or early twenties. When the teeth align properly, gum tissue is healthy, and you are lucky enough to have the extra room for them, your wisdom teeth do not have to be removed. This is an exception to the rule though. In some cases, a wisdom tooth can become trapped under the gum and/or bone or even grow sideways. It can also become decayed, infected or cause the rest of your teeth to move out of place causing discomfort. Unfortunately, in most cases, extraction is necessary.

With an oral examination and x-rays, Dr. Connell can evaluate the position of the wisdom teeth and predict if there may be current or future problems. Studies have shown that early evaluation and treatment of wisdom teeth result in a superior outcome for the patient. Patients are generally first evaluated in the mid-teenage years by their dentist, orthodontist or by an oral surgeon.

Wisdom teeth removal is a fairly common procedure at Valley Dental's Tempe dental studio. However, in some cases, the removal of wisdom teeth prior to eruption requires oral surgery. Dr. Connell has the skill required to remove impacted or un-erupted wisdom teeth and provides local anesthesia during the procedure.

If you live in the Tempe or Casa Grande area and have questions about wisdom teeth removal or other dental procedures, please feel free to contact Dr. Connell's office at 480-839-7996 or visit our website at www.valleydentaltempe.com.
